Introduction - Education
At each place the responsible person are going to give information about the project to the involved teachers and pupils (14-15 years old) at the participating schools, they also organise the work and assign tasks.
At each place experts from the archaeological institutions/similar are going to give information and the basic knowledge to the involved pupils at the participating schools about their historical heritage with the main point in the first millennium AD in the mirror of today.
  • How did they live?
  • How did it look like?
  • Where their any contacts and/or influences with the other participating places/areas?

At the same time in Ozzano Emilia, experts of the archaeological associations gather information and documents about the ancient town of Claterna, in order to give to the involved pupils the basic knowledge about their historical heritage, focusing on the period 500 B.C- 500 AD, in the mirror of today.
They also look for possible connections and reciprocal knowledge among the involved archaeological sites (Claterna-Uppakra-Jomsborg) history.

The information are delivered, in the native language and in English, to the web-editor and published on the common website of the project in 4 languages; Italian, Polish, Swedish and English.

The pupils will now form their own questions about their archaeological site, their historical heritage and so on, in order to add supplementary details, important out of their point of view. They search actively the answers in different sources.
In Ozzano dell'Emilia the experts of the archaeological associations carry out a research work in the archives and libraries (taking photographs and making digital scansion of the documents), and a cataloguing work, in order to reconstruct, for the pupils and the teachers, the history of Claterna and its inhabitants and the possible connections with the North Europe archaeological sites of Uppakra and Jomsborg.

WEB-publishing & design
The creating of a common WEB-site is an important part of the project. The information about the project and the three places will be presented to the public here, and so will also the results of the pupils searching information, and the virtual gallery from the illustrating phase. The pupils will also be able to exchange information here during the project, and hopefully make contacts that will last after the project ends.
